A message from the Chairman

The India that we are living in today is at that point of its trajectory from where it can make a quantum jump into the future. Being the youngest country in the world with the majority of its population in its thirties, we have nowhere to go, but forward. The rest of the world is increasingly seen as the next natural global leader. We have taken just the first toddler’s steps to this goal. However, before we begin the marathon, we have to learn how to walk. This ability will come only through an educational revolution that will enable our youth to match up to international standards – and that has to begin at the very basic level of teaching-learning activity.

The Delhi Public School Society, established more than six decades ago has been a visionary in this regard and has striven to provide a holistic education to its students through the DPS chain which now encompasses over 180 schools in India and abroad. All our schools have geared-up to take on the challenges of the future head-on. Delhi Public Schools are not just about education. We perceive our role as the custodian of our country’s future and accordingly strive to encourage our children to excel not only at academics, but as a responsible citizen of tomorrow with a sense of duty and responsibility towards our nation. They are encouraged to appreciate the fragility of our eco-system and respect nature. Each child that steps into the sanctum of DPS, walks out as an aware, educated and ethically sensitive global denizen for tomorrow.

I welcome you and your child in this wonderful family and wish you the best for a very bright future.

A message from the Pro VC

Dear Parents,

Delhi Public School Varanasi comes with a very illustrious lineage of The Delhi Public School Society. The DPS Chain not only has a pan-India presence, but it has also established citadels of learning about several foreign shores. What started as a small school in 1949 has grown into a chain that has over 200 schools in India and abroad.

Delhi Public School Varanasi is promoted by the Kush Education Society. The promoters of DPS Varanasi have a very successful legacy in the K-12 sector. They are part of a group that has been running DPS in Varanasi for the past 12 years.

Established about twenty years ago, DPS Varanasi has been able to ensure that excellence is the hallmark of a progressive school. We have the best faculty possible that has developed its unique pedagogical system which addresses each facet of school life. Much stress is laid on nurturing global citizens who are not just academically brilliant but also sensitive to societal responsibilities. Our students are encouraged to develop a keen sense of appreciation and pride in Indian culture, heritage, and environment. DPS provides a holistic learning experience that encompasses an eclectic balance between the scholastic and co-scholastic curriculum. The school is in step with changing times and is using technology with ease and aplomb. The environment of the campus is such that each student feels empowered and engaged rather than constricted to the confines of a classroom.

I am sure you too would like your children to become a part of this temple of excellence and I look forward to welcoming them to DPS Varanasi. I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for the keen interest that you have shown in DPS.

A message from the Principal

I believe that God continues to create children since he is not yet tired of man. I also believe that man is yet to understand the mind of a child. I believe in striving for excellence in everything but also believe that excellence alone is not everything.I believe children must aim for high grades but I also believe that children who score low grades also succeed in life.

I believe in grades that help children pass an exam but I also believe in values which see them through life. I believe parents when they tell me that children do not like to study but I also believe in children who tell me parents do not have time for them.I believe in destiny but I also believe that we are makers of it.
