On the 2nd of September 2004 Delhi Public School opened its portals wide to welcome parents of the adjoining village for providing them the priceless gift of education for their children. Admissions were provided for children from class Prep onwards. It has been decided to enroll 20 children for the current session.
Here the admitted children were provided with uniforms, note books and books free of cost. The curriculum designed for them is parallel to the syllabus followed in the normal school routine.

Apart from academics the children of the Shiksha Kendra are also being provided with a period for creativity and entertainment. It is also being seen to that the teachers involved with the mainstream school teach them. The excitement of it all is that the children are not only receiving Education from the school but also that the children are utilizing all the facilities of the school, pure drinking water, computers, swings, other teaching aids ,toys to name a few.

The school like all other schools of DPS is involved in the noble cause of providing education to the deprived and the underprivileged of the society and uplifting the Nation by supporting it towards development.
As per our Honourable Chairman Sir, Sri Narendra Kumar, Shiksha Kendras in all the D.P.S' are the fulfillment of the social responsibility that is being catered to by the DPS Society in which the poor, downtrodden and weak pillars of the society are being strengthened.
D.P.S. Shiksha Kendras are a vision, an effort and an endeavor for those children who had been deprived of education due to economic constraints and more so for the upliftment of the girl child. |
The D.P.S Varanasi Shiksha Kendra is a link in the chain of Shiksha Kendras run across the D.P.S' all over the country.
We at D.P.S. have taken a pledge towards the better tomorrow for these children by ensuring that the bright students of this Shiksha Kendra would be merged in the mainstream school where they will receive free education with the other students of the school till the time they wish to continue on with their studies. |
