Rajendra Toyota in collaboration with TOYOTA KIRLOSKAR MOTORS LTD, JAPAN conducted a third launch ceremony in DPS Varanasi which took the school, a step ahead in making India a safety zone. It was a great honour not only for the people of Varanasi but also for our state as the programme is launched in U.P for the first time . This launch ceremony TOYOTA SAFETY EDUCATION PROGRAMME(TSEP) was divided into three modules. The first was already conducted with drivers and conductors, briefing them about the road safety and road safety signs. The second module will be held with children in the month of August. This was the third module which included all the faculty members and the senior students of the school. Notified dignitaries like, The Commissioner of Varanasi zone Nitin Ramesh Gokarn IAS, IG, SSP and SP (traffic) were present on the occasion of making DPS VARANASI the first SAFETY MODEL SCHOOL IN UP.

The ceremony was addressed by MR AKITO TACHIBANA, MD Toyota Kirloskar, who told the students about the contribution of his company in the road safety measures, which is a critical challenge faced by the road users and authorities in India.

Our Principal Mr. Mukesh Shelat expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest and other dignitaries with the whole team of Toyota for giving their ample time in support of such a promising campaign held in the school premises. Mr Tanay Goenka, proposed the vote of thanks and Mr Rajendra Goenka presented a memento to the school. The ceremony was concluded by a safety pledge, wherein all promised to abide by the traffic rules they learnt.
